Chocolate or Vanilla?

Not much to talk about this Monday. The weekend went by pretty uneventful. Saturday's run felt pretty good except for the slight inclines.
Sunday, I stopped by Brewster's Ice Cream over by the resevoir. They were having an all you can eat ice cream contest. No, I know what you are thinking.....I didn't enter it. I wanted to, but Tamara talked me out of it. The winner ate two and a half quarts in 10 minutes. I really think I could have taken him, but we'll never know......... I have won my share of eating contests before. (36 pieces of pizza at a buffet. One chocolate cream pie in 2 minutes and eight seconds) but ice cream is the only thing I eat slow. I'm always the first to finish my plate when everyone eats, but last to finish when I eat ice cream. So I don't know if I could have done it. If I had all day, I think a couple half gallons might do it.

But alas, I di-gress. I'm trying to look like I have a six pack and not a whole case. I'll never be long and lanky like Scotty, but hopefully, this marathon thing will help me get close to maintaining my ideal weight for the rest of my life.

(Screw That! I still want my ice cream!! So much for self reflection.......I must have had another out of body experience......)

I thought you meant a six-pack of beer! You see where my priorities lie! And I do LOVE ice cream but, I'm like you, I like to savor it and avoid the brain freezes!

I would like to lose weight too but the problem is you have to give up food! I never eat because I am hungry. I eat because I love food!
Ice cream is the hardest to resist!

Hey -
My son's friend, a very compact little fella, won the year's worth of ice cream, then played soccer and then he was hungry!! Ah, to be 16 again.

This is scary.... It is like you are way up in MY BRAIN! How did you get there?

I KNOW I couldn't eat ice cream fast anyway. It is great, but toooo cold to go down fast!

Have a good one!

I have been known to stare at the ben and jerry's small size containers of ice cream at Kroger. Just gazing, gazing, through the glass freezer door. About twice a year, I will buy one and eat the whole thing. I am with you on the chocolate ice cream. No cheap imitation frozen yogurt measures up.

CHOCOLATE, definitely chocolate! I'm impressed with your eating contest victories. I SWEAR I could enter some and win! Wouldn't it be nice if we could eat whatever we wanted without gaining weight???!!! I dream about it sometimes, really.

I had a dream about eating ice cream after reading your blog! I swear!

I am mad that I did not bring my running duds with me yesterday. It was pretty cool when I left work yesterday afternoon and if I'd had my clothes I would have gone to Ridgeland to see you guys. I thought about coming and just watching you and Phil run, but that seemed sort of mean. ( I had already done my mileage Tues. a.m.)
So I'll have my stuff tomorrow and if it's NOT 96 degrees I'll try to come by the track and actually run some.
I haven't bought the Nutrisystem yet...still need to!

I LOVE MY SONG! Thank you! Now I would like for you to sing it, record it, and I'll put it on my Ipod so I can listen to it as I run!!
